Norsif and NBIM: Perspectives on managing climate and nature risk as a financial investor

Climate and nature risks are financial risks to the fund. We observe that the fund’s financed emissions are decreasing while global emissions are going up. We are encouraged by companies’ responses to our calls for net zero targets and transition plans. But we also see challenges: estimated future losses to the fund from climate impacts seem more substantial than previously realised, the financial effects of nature loss are becoming more visible, and global climate policies continue to fragment across regions.

Join us to hear how climate and nature risks are affecting the fund’s investments today and what scenarios are indicating for the future. We will present key findings from the newly released Climate and Nature Disclosures 2024. An expert panel will provide their perspectives on the relevance of climate and nature risks for financial investors in a changing world.
