Norsif Webinar: Shareholder Voting in 2026 — Trends, Research and Strategic Priorities

Om arrangementet

Program og innhold

The session is designed to give members practical insight that can support prioritisation of engagement and voting resources going forward.

  • Ole-Andreas Elvik Næss from the University of Bergen will present his recent research on investor preferences for ESG-related proposals and what these reveal about the relationship between shareholder voting and underlying investment mandates. His research spans climate finance, behavioral finance and capital taxation, with a particular focus on shareholder voting and end-investor preferences for ESG-related proposals.
  • Thibaut Barsacq, Executive Director ISS STOXX, joined ISS in 2007 as a corporate governance research analyst and has led proxy research across Southern European markets. Since 2022 he has focused on environmental and social matters and has chaired ISS's internal policy development committee for a decade. Thibaut will provide a global and macro overview of voting trends from the 2026 proxy season as well as some general observations on investor preferences at a macro level.

The webinar will round off with a panel discussion and Q&A.
